I just want to say,

I pooped yesterday.

Anyone else develop bruising around your incision in the days PO..?

Sigh. I have to go to the bathroom, but it’s *so* far away…

2 days PO and I keep thinking, “What is that horrible slab of meat attached to my backside?!” And then I realize… it *is* my backside. Trusting the numbness & swelling will diminish. Icing, elevating, Netflixing.

…And just where, exactly, shall I hide my grabber from my 9 and 8-year-old..? That thing will be like crack to them when they see it. Right now it’s under the couch I’m planted on, so I can still reach it…

Home from surgery and resting! Surgery smooth. Terrific hospital. My partner is with me all day. My twin sister will take over tomorrow. She’s a physical therapist who works in a rehab hospital – who better? I’m in & out of sleep. Brace ok so far. Used toilet once already with raised cut out seat. Pain rough. One hour at a time.
