12/22/19: Relaxation On the Out Breath

Breathe in for 6...... 
hold for 6...... 
out for 6...... 
Now do it one more time. 
Can’t hold your breath for 6 counts? Do it for 4. Do 4-4-4. Do 4-7-8. You can’t do it wrong. There are no mistakes. Work at being consistent, at stopping throughout your day, every 30 or 60 minutes, to breathe in and out deeply, twice. Everything you need to know, all the answers to your questions & problems, start flowing in when you relax. And relaxation happens on the out breath.

12/8/19: Adulting

  • Discussed plan for today’s Grocery-Laundry-Cooking-Two Away Basketball Games-Buy a Christmas Tree Agenda with wife.
  • Changed the 9-Volt battery in the chirping smoke detector.
  • Introduced the song, “I Will Follow You” to the kids so they would understand Snowball [Elf on Shelf]’s reference.
  • Read an article about how to give your kids fewer presents so they appreciate them more.
  • Put in a load of laundry.
  • Swept kitchen floor & emptied dishwasher.
  • Lied to Facebook friends about emptying the dishwasher.
  • Meditated for 8 minutes.
